Update: Certification in Integrative medicine

In the fall of 2012, I was busy with board preparation in Integrative medicine through the American Holistic Medicine Board.  I passed the exam in early November.  The process has strengthened my knowledge base of the integrative options for the the body and mind when there are imbalances.  The theme of the week with the thought that most of the Chronic disease we face in the USA is related to diet and stress:

1) Nutrition and the quality/quantity of the food we eat impacts our lives in multiple ways

2) Mindfulness is most important in the day to day managing of our stress

3) Exercise/ movement of any kind (and as gentle as Chi Gung) is most necessary for us

These 3 areas of focus can have an incredible impact on our mind, body and spirit!
